BLANKZ – An AWESOME Toy for My Daughter Who LOVES Art ~ and A Giveaway!

My eldest daughter LOVES art.  She can often be found sitting at her little table drawing or coloring pictures for everyone.  For her birthday she asked for art supplies, and she’s always asking me to watch for fun art projects that go on sale (I’ve trained her well)!  This summer she’s even doing a month of Art Camp.  So, when I was asked to review a new art product called Blankz, I knew this was the perfect toy for my daughter.

The Blankz in the Box

The Blankz line are stuffed animals that come with washable markers.  They are completely blank, and kids can color and decorate them any way they choose.  The AWESOME thing about Blankz is that they can be used over and over since they are MACHINE WASHABLE.  To say that my daughter was excited when I showed it to her would be an understatement.

We received a “Bare” Blankz.  He’s about 4 inches tall, and he came with 4 markers, red blue, yellow and green.  My daughter worked on him coloring him all in for a long time, and when she was done she was really proud of her rainbow bear, so much so that neither her sister or brother were aloud to touch it…they could only look!  We left her bear colored for almost a week before we washed it.  I wanted to give it some time both so she could enjoy her artwork and to see how well it washed out if we waited.  My daughter was a little sad that we were washing away her artwork, but I told her he was just getting a bath and then she’d get to decorate him again.  Since then, she’s colored and washed him 2 more times and she still refuses to share him with her sister!  Each time we’ve washed him, he’s come out just as white as when we started, and he’s held up well.  Needless to say, the Blankz “Bare” has been a hit with my daughter!  I think that Blankz are great for kids of all ages.  My daughter is 5, and she liked coloring him in and making him “rainbow”, but an older child, with more advanced drawing abilities could make some really creative creatures.  I really excited to see how my daughter colors him differently as her art skills advance.
