I was recently given a free copy of the photo software, My Memories Suite Version 3 to review, and I have to say it is FANTASTIC software. Let me start by saying that I am a picture taking junkie. With 3 little kids, I have my point and shoot with me almost all the time, and I fire away. There are many days when I take a hundred or more pictures. They get uploaded to my computer, and that’s usually about as far as I get. When I do order them, I usually order so many at a time that they then sit in a box. It’s just too overwhelming to go through and organize them. I always have great intentions for putting them all into scrapbooks, but with 3 young kids, it never happens. But, My Memories changed that.
First, uploading and installing the software couldn’t have been any easier. I downloaded the software from the the My Memories website, and within minutes I was up and running, and creating my scrapbook. Since the software is on my computer, instead of being web based, it runs really quickly. I don’t have to sit around waiting for pictures to upload before I can design my scrapbook. I made a scrapbook for my daughter from her recent haircut for Locks of Love. Since this was a really big occasion in our family, I knew she’d eventually want a book to remember it by. And when her certificate comes, we will glue it in the back of her album.
First, to make my life easier and a little more organized, I took a few minutes and picked out my favorite pictures from the day. I put them all in a folder on my desktop to work out of. This is how I always order pictures so that I order and use what I want the first time around! Once my pictures were loaded into their folder, I was ready to go.
Using the software was REALLY easy. You don’t need to be creative or crafty at all to use this software. There are a lot of different layout choices already designed, or you can create your own. When you start it up you get a pop-up that guides you through starting your album (pictured below). You can either start a new album, or if you have one already created you will see it listed on the bottom. Make sure you check out the “FREE KITS” tab on the website where there are hundreds of really great layout designs for free. There are also even more that can be purchased.

When I started mine, I chose “Create Album from Designer Template,” figuring that would be the easiest way to start. It was EXTREMELY simple. A list of choices comes up, and you can see a preview of the choice before you pick. Once you pick your design you can simply drop your photos in place. My album was complete in less than 20 minutes!

Adding pictures couldn’t be any simpler. The center of your screen (pictured above) is your album. You can flip between pages by clicking on the small pages underneath the main image. All of the tools you need are on the right hand side of the screen. To add a photo, you click the camera icon on the right and upload. You can crop, rotate and fully adjust your picture within the software. It’s simple to use wether you are a novice or experienced with photo software.
Once I was finished designing my album I had several options for publishing it. I could send it to My Memories to have it printed and bound or I could print out the pages at home on my own printer. In addition to printing the album, I can also share it digitally. I have never worked with photo software that is this simple and this versatile.
My Memories is offering Shopping with Les readers a special deal to check out the software. If you order the My Memories Software and use the promo code STMMMS12312, you will get $10 off the software as well as a $10 credit to be used when you place an order. That’s a $20 value!
Make sure you come back between July 24 and August 10 and enter to win a copy of My Memories v.3!

I was given My Memories Version 3 software for review free of charge, but all of the opinions are completely mine. The review opportunity was provided to me by My Memories and The Pitch List. For more information please read my Disclosure Policy.
