Are you looking for a way to cut down on your laundry expenses? If so, you should try out the Woolzies. I was very excited to be given the opportunity to review them as part of The Pitch List review and giveaway, and I have been thoroughly impressed by them.
Woolzies are dryer balls that are made out of 100% pure wool, and they naturally soften your laundry. With Woolizes you don’t need any additional dryer sheets or fabric softener which is great for both the environment and your wallet!
A box of Woolizes comes with 6 dryer balls. When you use them, you throw all 6 in together (the first time I did it, I didn’t read the directions and I only threw 1 in…with only 1 they didn’t work very well)! The six balls can be used for small, medium and large dryer loads. If you have an extra large load, they recommend that you use 8 balls. Once I figured out what I did wrong, I was hooked!
While your clothing is drying, the balls bounce around and do their magic. I was afraid that the balls would be really loud banging around in my dryer, but I couldn’t hear them at all, even standing next to it!
WOOLZIES bounce around in your dryer, they naturally separate and create space between your laundry, thereby allowing the hot dryer air to circulate better and subsequently cutting down on drying time by about 25% in large loads and as much as 35-40% in small loads. This of course saves both time and money for you and energy for the environment.
When I tried them out, I had a large load of clothing in the dryer. I threw in my 6 balls, and I set the timer on normal, which is 34 minutes. Normally, for this size load I would set it on high, which is 50 minutes. When the dryer was finished, after only 34 minutes, my entire load was dry! Cutting out 20 minutes on every load of laundry is not only a time saver, but it’s a HUGE money saver. With 3 small kids we are doing laundry all the time, so that will save HOURS every week.
The 6 Woolzies balls that come in the package are designed to last for 500 – 1000 loads! If you usually use dryer sheets, that’s a HUGE savings! I know that I personally like the fresh scent from dryer sheets. To give my clothing a fresh scent, I added a few drops of essential oils to each dryer ball (this was recommended by the company), and everything had a faint lavender smell, and I knew that it wasn’t from harsh chemicals.
Woolzies are completely hypoallergenic, and because they are made so that they do not shed, even someone with a wool allergy can safely use them in their laundry.
